Managing Meetings in Second Life

You know how it is, there is a chance remark that starts 'we should write one...' but how often do you follow it up? When @shirleyearley and @virtualewit twittered that they should write a book about managing meetings in Second Life they actually did it!

Having talked about it for a while Shirley and Pauline got together after the JISC conference in Edinburgh and started to put together the guide to Managing Meetings in Second Life. You'll find a copy here and you can download it, distribute it, amend it as long as you don't sell it and you do attribute!

virtual-e goes gold!

Following a thorough application and vetting process, virtual-e ltd has been accepted into the Linden Lab's new Gold Solution Provider Program, designed to identify highly qualified firms that offer services and develop content for enterprises, governments and educational establishments in Second Life.

Providers applying to the program were evaluated based on client references and a track record of successful projects in Second Life.

virtual-e's projects in Second Life include Imperial College London, Ashridge Business School in Hertfordshire and the University of Hawaii.

There are 31 organisations in the Gold Solution Provider Program; virtual-e is the only company in Scotland and one of only five in the UK.
